KnowledgeWorker® from Datum International delivers powerful Electronic Document Management,
Business Workflow, Project Collaboration and Search to the Enterprise. The application
can be deployed over the Internet, though most organisations deploy within an Intranet
environment.

Knowledge Library
Powerful electronic document and digital media management provides secure storage and
access to documents/files of any format: - office documents, scanned images, technical
CAD drawings, video clips, sound files and more. The Library manages documents in a
virtual hierarchy of folders easily navigable with a web browser.
In addition the Library provides document categorisation, version control with secure
check-in and checkout, audit trails and access control lists.
Business Workflow
Create powerful workflow applications for managing business processes with an easy to use
graphical 'drag & drop' workflow designer. Fully integrated with KnowledgeWorker®, the
workflow engine automatically generates 'web forms' that are dynamically routed to the
participants of the business process, containing everything they need: instructions,
documents, tasks and comments from other participants. Process managers can readily track
the status of active workflows from within their web browser.

Digital Dashboard
Once a user has logged into KnowledgeWorker®, they are presented with a fully customisable
'homepage' which uses 'push' technology to automatically notify the user of any new
relevant information that they need to know. This digital dashboard has been designed to
promote collaboration and the sharing of information.
Project Collaboration
KnowledgeWorker® Projects enable the creation of secure virtual teams providing members
with a project specific Document Library and News and Discussion areas for sharing information,
whilst Tasks provide an 'ad-hoc' method of organising project activities.
Search
The powerful search engine enables users to 'surf' a company's corporate information as
if they were surfing the web. Search results are displayed in a manner similar to most
of the search engines on the web. Any content within KnowledgeWorker® can be searched,
whether that information is contained within documents, news items, projects or discussion
topics. In addition, meta data relating to any content, such as date created or the categorisation
data under which an item was stored is also searchable.
